Welcome to the Forestdale Primary School website. A good education is one of the most precious gifts a child can receive.  We are very proud of our school, our pupils and our successes. Our core purpose is to improve life chances for every pupil through learning.

Our aim is to continue to provide a strong school with great teachers that enable all children to develop a passion for life-long learning so that they can reach their potential, have high aspirations, embrace future opportunities, responsibilities and experiences and contribute meaningfully to society.

We work hard to foster a safe and enjoyable environment which motivates and challenges each child, enabling them to reach their full potential. We want our pupils to have a love of learning, to be enthused and excited about every lesson. We want them to be sociable, friendly, empathetic; to be good citizens.

Forestdale is a happy school, where the success of each child matters.  We believe that Forestdale is a ‘good place to be’ and the relationships we develop with our children and their families, enables us to create a distinctive ethos.  We value the partnership between parents, pupils, teachers and the wider community and we hope that by working together we will ensure the best possible opportunities for progress.

Our ethos is based on five values. We expect our children to behave well and support them to develop a strong sense of mutual respect so that they can demonstrate the values on a daily basis:

Successful Successful

Thoughtful Thoughtful

Aspirational Aspirational

Respectful Respectful

Supportive Supportive

We are set in spacious grounds with well-equipped outdoor learning spaces which enhance our stimulating curriculum and extra-curricular activities. We make full use of the wider provision of our local community and beyond. We have a wonderful learning environment with a hardworking and talented team of staff who are proud to be part of Forestdale Primary School.

We hope that our website has given you an insight into life at Forestdale Primary, that it has captured a sense of our school and the values which underpin all we seek to achieve. We are always delighted to receive visitors, so please do make an appointment to come and see us.
